At 6 weeks 4 days I started to pass pink blood. 6+5 I started to get period like cramping and red blood. 7 weeks I booked a private scan and there was a heartbeat of 139. That evening the cramps were slightly worse and the blood got heavier. 7+1 I came home from work as I started to pass clots. I bought a t-shirt for my 2 year old daughter to wear Christmas Day saying “big sister” and with the scan I was so happy that I could put it on her. Then when everything took a turn for the worse, I’ve just assumed it’s all gone.

I went in to work as we were super busy with the holiday season and while in work I passed a clot which I can only describe as a veiny grape attached to a two finger sized slug. Once that passed the cramping eased.

Cramping was never bad enough to feel the need to take a painkiller, it was uncomfortable and there but never painful? And since then the bleeding has slightly tapered off.

Has anyone ever passed clots like this and there pregnancy has continued?

I live in Ireland. Unfortunately once there is a heartbeat after a bleed the hospital won’t see you until you are 12 weeks as they cannot intervene. I phoned 5 days in a row crying in hopes that I would get one sympathetic midwife who would tell me to come up.

My next scan is a private one booked in for the 9th of January.

Boobs are heavy and feel like when I was pregnant and I’ve had slight nausea which I didn’t have before. My partner and I also feel that my “bladder” area is bloated and almost looks like a bump. I was showing at 11 weeks with my first daughter and I’m now supposed to be 8 weeks. So hard to go through all this over the holidays

I don’t have a photo of the largest clot as I was in work and could feel it coming so I just ran into the bathroom and got rid 😢💔
