Help getting birth control?

Hey. Trying to get birth control for the first time and I have some questions. 
1. Who do I make the appointment with? My regular doctor or a gynecologist?
2. What do I say over the phone to make the appointment? Do I just tell them I want birth control?
3. What does the appointment entail? What is the doc gonna do/ask/say. Is there anything I should bring?

You should make an appointment with a recommended gynecologist. Ask your mom, sister friend someone who they see and who they like.
Yes just tell them what you need. Like birth control, an examination and what not. It’s your first time tell them this as well!
Bring your insurance card and photo ID. Also if you have private insurance and pay Co-pays be sure to bring some type of payment. Most doctors want payment up front, but some may send bills too .
