I received my first shot at 6 weeks PP on November 6th of this year. I’ve had my period a total of 30 days with 28 of them being consecutive. One of them was the last day of my first real menstrual cycle, then there was a week break, then I bled for 28 days, then about a week break, and just started again today. Is this normal? I know breakthrough bleeding is a thing. But if this is what it’s going to be like the whole time I’m on it and not get better after my second shot I may explore other forms.

I’m also anemic and I’ve been bleeding heavily. I also now get light headed a lot if I bend over or stand too long or stretch too hard. Will this go away after my second shot? Please help. I’m due to go back in January for my next one and I’m not sure if I want it again if this is what it will be like.

*Also keep in mind that the pill is not an option for me as it makes me bleed too much and I fell pregnant with my second child while taking it religiously.
