Undies vs Depend Undies

I’ve had a lot of people recommend the depend disposable underwear after birth for their easiness, absorbency, elastic waist for post c-section etc etc.

But I’ve been told by family it’s a waste and that it’s degrading and weird because they’re meant for the elderly incontinent and that you don’t actually bleed much after birth.

Personally, I don’t wanna waste $$ either way, but I definitely don’t wanna be ruining my underwear and going through two of them per day because of sweat and stains as it is (having a summer baby.)

P.S I also always worry about leakage, like in the butt area and always had that problem using pads in the past so.

What is your experience and do you recommend them? Or is it just better using the maternity Pads?
