Baby in our room, where to put changing table?

Those first few months when baby is little, we plan to have it sleep in a pack n play next to our bed for convenience.
Do I need to set up a changing table in our room as well as the nursery, or where do most moms do the middle of the night diaper changes? Will I most likely just change the diaper on my bed?

I am room sharing since i have a pretty big room. Here is her little space

Instead of a changing table, i put a changing pad with straps on her dresser.and keep diapers , wipes and creams in the cubby next to it. I doubt I’ll be using it often. I’ll most likely be using the bed and floor mostly but it’s cute and simple.

I had my daughter in my room until she was about 10 months old. We never had a dedicated changing table in our room, just her room. If we absolutely had to change her diaper overnight we did it on the bed. I only changed diapers at night briefly, after a few weeks she stopped pooping that much.

The pack and play I am getting is going to have a changing table built to it along with a bassinet that is removable once the baby gets bigger

I have a six year old and a three year old. The best lesson I've learned is that MOST of the stuff you buy and think you need for baby will NEVER be used, so don't waste your money. lol. I literally NEVER used ANY changing table for either child. Bed, floor, couch, pack n' play, etc. are all RIGHT there and just way more convenient. For my first child, I bought every type of seat, swing, bouncer, etc. and ended up with a barely used swing and seats. Neither kid had any interest in the play mats. They rather play on their bellies with toys then look at stuff they could barely reach while lying on their backs. My second child barely even used his crib. I had a friend's baby die from SIDS right before my second was born, so he ended up sleeping in my room until he was a year old. By the time he was sleeping in his own room, he was in a crib for a few months. Believe me, babies don't need ALL the stuff they try to sell you.

You’ll more than likely use your bed all the time. I did with my first (for middle of the night changes when he was in my room). When he went to his own room, we used a changing pad on top of the dresser or just changed him in the crib. Now we change him more on the floor. So it’s all over the place. But I would bet money you’ll end up just doing it on your bed.

I'm facing the same issue and plan on just having a towel to pop on the bed for night changes. I'll keep a little basket of wipes, nappys, bags on hand too. If it's a stinker I will take baby to their room and use the change table. I don't want to clutter my room with another piece of furniture so hopefully this works.

I never used a changing table at all with my first. Mostly for changes I did them on the bed. I used a extra changing pad that came with a diaper bag I didnt use . I kept that with diapers Wipes. it was easier for me. Especially at night.

I agree with a lot of the ladies on here. I never bought a changing table with my first and will not be getting one with my second either. Never needed one. If you can’t fit it in a room comfortably, I would say forget it.

I put mine in the bathroom. It was so much easier with my first. This time idk what I’m going to do.
