You can burn candles until the smoke turns black and then it’s harmful for the baby. I’ve heard about 2 hours max.

Personally I wouldn't light a candle often. At my youngests 1 year appointment, she had higher levels of lead than normal (nothing they were really too worried about, but as a mom I worry lol). When the county came through to do the lead inspection, she saw that I had a candle and told me that they can contain lead and asked if I burned them often (which I don't usually only when we have guests which is not often).

If it has fragrance it can be irritating to the baby for a long period, so keep it away from her or just for a short time if scented.
