Should I get a puppy since I can't seem to have a baby?

Little back story is I have hashimotos and maybe graves too we'll find out next month..dr thinks my thyroid is flipping from under active to over active...also had one miscarriage at 7 weeks along (2017)and 2 or 3 chemical pregnancies after that I stoped testing and focused on getting my health under control to no avail. They raise my dose then lower it cuz it's too high and I never feel better just different levels of "good days" and "bad days" anyways this past holiday I got to hold and bond with a small "purse dog" my sister has and I can't remember the last time I was so relaxed and not in pain or discomfort...even surrounded by my crazy family for hours. Lol so started thinking maybe I can get a puppy since I can't have a baby... A small dog that needs me and wants to be held...
