Flu , pneumonia and hives. Sad Christmas for us.

So

On December 13th my baby had a 100 degree fever and didn’t want to do anything. December 14th morning at 7 am it was 102.4 F. We took him to the doctors immediately. He has had a cough for almost two months now. I have been to his doctors several times, and even took him to the E.R for coughing fits. I was told over and over.... it’s a “cold” or it’s a virus (and it will work itself out) or it’s just something going around! That morning waking up to a high fever and miserable baby, I was one p”””ed off mom. That morning they said since it’s now a chronic issue we will have several appointments until it’s gone. So on the 14th we were told to throw out the decongestant and was given an antihistamine and antibiotic ! If those don’t work his doctor said we are looking at an inhaler next. I am happy someone has finally taken my worries seriously and haven’t brushed it off as a cold.

On Sunday before Christmas I woke up felt like shoot. I have the flu. Then Monday we got sent back to CHOA (children’s hospital of Atlanta) because little man woke up in screaming pain. Took him to urgent care and he tested positive for flu. Went to CHOA he was given fluids via IV. Then a new antibiotic and Tamiflu and nausea suppressor. Well Christmas he when we left at 1 am they gave him the first dose of antibiotics. The day after the 26th he woke up in spots.

Too him to pediatrician it’s an allergic reaction. Today the 27th the spots are worse. Took him again to his pediatrician and was given steroids.

my poor boy has had three X-rays, an IV, blood work and has been used as a pin cushion for weeks now. I hate this my poor baby.

Prayers Ya'll ! My son , the hubby and I all have the flu. I hope it goes away in eight days because we go back to work January 3rd !! Baby boy has it worse with viral pneumonia and the flu. We have used all of my husband’s check for January on hospital, urgent care and pediatric visits, medication and copays! I am scared going into January praying we can stretch my little check for the month! Scared my son will never get better. Yesterday Baby woke up with spots and today they were worse. We took him to his doctor and they gave us steroids. So now Baby is on antibiotics, Tamiflu, nausea suppressor, antihistamines, and steroids.
