So me and my husband's grandmother was talking today and I understand that she whooped her kids and my husband when he was little, but I feel like you should try other types of punishment before whooping them, she also said about how you should start smacking their hands when there just 1 year old but I don't kow what that would learn them. So I told her that I will not be whooping my child unless it comes down to that and she disagreed with me and said that it's the only way they learn. So I'm gonna ask what you guys think should you just start whopping them everytime they mess up or try other ways to punish them before you whoop them?
