When to go to er

Question

I haven't kept anything down all day today, only drank about this much of my Powerade today, bad headache super weak and very nauseous. I had a bowl of soup but fear the sodium would just cancel out the water I'd actually be getting from it . Should I be going to the hospital to get fluids? I'm 8 weeks along . I just feel terrible and in pain and sick ☹️ I'm already on 3 times a day with meds for ms ! Should I be going ?

The sodium is actually good for you when you’re dehydrated...it sounds backwards but if you’re able to drink the broth, do it.
Ice chips. Popsicles. Juices.
I’m not pro going to the Er for anything, especially during flu season. But if you think you need to go, then go.

Call the after hours OB number. They can give you better advise. But definitely drink some soup or any other liquid with calories. When you aren’t eating, the last thing you want is pure water. You need liquids that have all the other stuff you are missing like sugar and salts and other electrolytes.

Not sure where you're located so not sure if it's freezing cold where you are (I'm in Australia during a heatwave) but I find icy poles are easier to keep down than liquids. I go through a huge pack of zooper doopers every week tbh. If the powerade is also making you feel sick then just drink regular water. You honestly need to force it down if you're getting so little liquid. Don't focus so much on the sodium and worrying about those details. You absolutely need to stay hydrated.

For intense nausea my doctor told me to get B6 vitamin and unisom the sleeping pill and take together. Do some research about it.  Heard it really helps
