Should I have a sweet 16 party? (Read description)

Ok so I just turned 15, but I wasn't sure if I should have a sweet 16 party. I don't have many friends and I feel like only having like 4 people at a birthday party (especially the big numbers, like 16, 18, 21) would be sad bc so many people make a sixteenth birthday a really big deal.

Your sweet 16 doesn’t have to be big at all! It just has to be special! Having your close friends with you going out to eat and having fun is all you really need :) don’t think too much of it. Just do something that’s special for you :)

For my “sweet sixteen” I had a party at home with all my family and friends  . Invited about 20 friends and we were all in the backyard while my family was inside , we had food , drinks, good music playing on a small yet loud radio . Well apparently my Facebook event page was not private and word got out , over 100 people (strangers) in my backyard partying with me for my bday . I always love telling this story lmao . Some person even tried to charge me when I was coming back in from walking a friend out , I said I live here and it got awk and I made them give me all the money they had made off my friends + strangers. Me and some friends went inside to figure out how we were going to get everyone out and when we went back out there was a FULL ON DJ ... with speakers and everything  . Lmao me and my closest friends still talk about it until this day almost 10 years later (wow I’m old ) . Do whatever you feel would make you happy don’t just have a party because it’s standard , not just those ages that you mentioned are special , every one has a different milestone for celebrating every birthday & age .

What I did for my 16th was have my closest friends over for a movie night with pizza and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more ❤️ I feel like a party is stressful when your re the host because you have to look after all of your guests etc

Its not about how many friends come to the party, its about the great time you have with people you actually WANT to be around! Instead of having a typical party, you could do something fun all together instead! Its about YOU! ENJOY IT
