Owning a pet monkey?

Okay so I’ve always wanted one so bad and I know they come with a lot of responsibility but I’ve always wanted one and I’ve done so much research on them and I finally found one for sale, if they don’t sell it, they are gonna kill it. Should I get it?

I would do more research before you impulsively get it as well, like can you find a vet that will take care of a money? Most vets won’t... and they need drs too... do you have enough time, attention and funds for their needy diets?? Can you afford and take the time for all the diapers its going to wear?

As a rescue, sure, I suppose so.  But I would contact a wildlife refuge to ask questions at the very least.

I’d contact a shelter who can get the monkey to a proper facility to live in with other monkeys if the current owner is going to put it down. But I definitely wouldn’t keep it myself.

First figure out what you need to do to legally own this pet... where will it go to the vet since most only do cats dogs birds reptiles or livestock. Also where will u find monkey chow, proper diet is super important.And what will you do when the come into puberty. Monkeys make horrible pets. I have always always dreamed of one but after all Ive learned about them. It's just a dream.
