Bird Box?

Do you think the new movie Bird Box has a important meaning behind it. A lot of people have different theories that its about suicide rates, or even racism. I never thought about it when I saw some of it (saw it from the middle to almost the end) do you think people are looking to much into it or that their is a message in it. I thought it was just a good horror/thriller movie.

It’s just a movie. Everyone always try’s to throw suicide, racism, religion and economical theories over every movie and it’s so annoying. Unless the author/screen writers themselves said it has a meaning behind it and said what it is, then it’s just a movie.

Some people don’t seem to like this theory but I think the ‘crazy’ people who don’t have to wear blindfolds may have already been dealing with suicidal thoughts, they had already been fighting it so it didn’t make them kill themselves because they had made themselves ‘stronger’ by fighting it for so long. But because it didn’t make them commit suicide, it made them crazy instead.

I heard it’s supposed to represent social media,  the painting in the beginning with everyone together but looking down was supposed to be a clue.  There were supposed to be other hints towards it throughout the movie too, but I can’t remember what they were.  No idea if this is true, it’s just the theory I have heard most.  I just want to know what happens now, the world just stays this way forever? I liked the movie but I need more closure! I hate it when movies end without expecting anything 😑

Man I’ve seen so many theories. 
Some that makes sense and others seem to be very reaching. 
If you’re a person that has to find meaning or a lesson in everything then you could say it has one. 
To me, in this instance it’s just a movie.

I chose just a movie, but I think there are always small messages in a lot of movies if you think about it. I very much enjoyed it as just an apocalyptic themed movie. I never have time to read, but if it's on audio book then I may get it. I'm always in my car I swear lol!! 
It was hard to watch, thinking about myself in that situation with my son... all I can say is we'd be dead... my son never listens to me and he's too curious! Haha I'd have to duct tape his blind fold on him to even survive maybe a day!! 😂😂😂 love the movie though!

The author said the idea came from a comment a professor made about the human brain not being able to stand/grasp infinity. So no? 
It is actually one of my top 5 favorite books though. I’ve been excited for the movies Since last year! The books is still worth a read though.
