TV in nursery?

My sister in law mentioned to me that she is mounting a TV in the twins’ nursery. I don’t have a TV in my baby’s room and thought that was kind of odd. Do any other mamas have TVs in their baby’s room already?

No. I mean...no judgment...but we don’t and won’t have one in the nursery. When nursing, it’s usually in the living room which has a tv anyway. And I want to encourage my kids to play in their rooms and only really watch tv in the common areas.

I’m assuming it’s for her, or to play music on, but still a little odd. I’m sure she’s prepping to be exhausted though, since twins sounds crazy exhausting. I don’t plan to allow a tv in my girls’ rooms for quite some time...my two year old watches tv, but definitely not in her room...she would never sleep...lol

We have one temporarily set up in the nursery for me. I don't use it so much now but when LO was younger I'd watch movies whiles feeding him

My oldest had one in her room when she moved into at about 9 months. She had gotten used to having a TV on because her dad would usually watch TV before he fell asleep and when she was in our room she'd have the noise. We tried a sound machine and it didn't work.. she still has it now at 2 1/2. She lays down at 7:30 and watches a half hour and falls asleep around 8. I was the same way for a long time though, I had to have a TV on just for the noise to be able to fall asleep.
