Okay, so my 11 month old ended up with the stomach bug like everyone else in this house. He started having explosive diarrhea about 2-3 days after he stopped throwing up. From then on he has had explosive diarrhea & recently within the past day he has finally gotten over the diarrhea & stomach bug, but he is still busting out of his diapers 😩 I don’t know how many times I have woke up to him covered in poop along with his bed. I’d have to give him a bath (which he has eczema & shouldn’t be taking baths daily like I’ve had to do recently 🤦🏻‍♀️). I can’t even count on my fingers how many times I’ve wiped down his crib & washed his sheets, blankets & clothes. I thought this was just from him filling up his diaper through the night then waking up to poop & exploding through the diaper. Well, when he poops throughout the day (when he was sick) he would do the same thing! I change his diapers every hour & a half up to 2 hours. So his diapers was not soaked at all. That theory is not valid. So I thought maybe he’s still sick..? Which I guess is a possibility, but the doctor said he should be feeling better within a day or 2. Well that’s been almost a week ago now & it’s still happening. I finally decided it has to be the diapers right? Theirs nothing else I could see wrong. So we upped his diaper size from 4 to 5. Guess what? It’s still happening!! 🥴 Just not as bad now. I still have to change his clothes at the very least. I’m a FTM so please don’t judge me. I’m doing everything I know & nothing is working. I plan on speaking to his pediatrician as soon as New Years is over, but I would just like some friendly advice in the mean time? Is this normal behavior for an 11 month old? What else can I do?
