Bring baby to meet new baby in hospital?

Hi! My baby is 3 weeks today. My sister in law is currently in hospital giving birth to his cousin! Should I go visit with the baby or is that crazy? I know hospitals are germy but would maternity area be much different?
FYI they are an hour and 45 minutes drive (each way) away so taking turns visiting with my husband doesn’t really make sense.

No deifnitely wouldnt. Hospitals are full of germs. Also a lot of hospitals dont allow children under a certain age especially during flu season

Our hospital doesnt allow any visiting children other than your own. I'd ask before you make the drive.

Call the hospital to confirm and check with your SIL to make sure she’s ok with it, but I don’t see why not. That baby was literally just in a maternity ward a few weeks ago and you felt safe then, right? I do know that kids under 1 are normally “tagged” somehow so it doesn’t look like you’re stealing a baby lol

My hospital does not allow any children to visit that are not siblings. Why not wait until she gets home in a few days and then it can be a more relaxed visit where you can all go?

That’s tough. Idk if you’re nursing. Could you and your baby daddy make a mini road trip and stay in car or go to a restaurant etc while you see your sister and the new baby? Without bringing your little one into hospital around germs and newborn?

I read this wrong when I voted. I wouldn’t chance it. I got the flu by walking into a children’s hospital and germexing every hour if not more. I wouldn’t trust my 3 weeks old in a hospital. ❤️

My babies go wherever I go, so either I’d take him with me or I wouldn’t go.
