Set up?🤷‍♀️🤔

When did everyone set up their bassinets or cribs? 
I feel like I have time even if its once we get home from the hospital lol but alot of people think I should have things starting to set up 36 weeks thrid baby.

Lol I had mine set up at like 13 weeks. But that was just because I had no where to store it, so it was just easier to set it up.

Husband built crib a couple months ago. We are about halfway done with making her bedside co-sleeper. I’ll be 36 weeks tomorrow. Guess we did things a little backwards, but at least we will have her crib if we don’t finish the co-sleeper in time. Plan C is the pack and play lol

We had everything set up by 30 weeks because we were having our shower at our house and wanted everything set up by then. We have the whole nursery with crib set up and we have a pack n play w/ bassinet in our master bedroom

Time wise I think you could do it even after baby is born but I honestly think at least 1-2 weeks in advance is a great idea for the purpose of airing the furniture out. New cribs and mattresses do have toxins that need airing out and of course the furniture that's been sitting in storage needs airing out and most likely cleaning as well. I set up my pack n play a month ahead, I had to wash it since I used it with our last baby, and of course the closer I get to the due date the less I want to do anything so I'm doing as much as i can right now while i still have the energy.

I think second, third, fourth etc. time moms have a better feel and less anxiety over bringing home a new baby. Hell we are in the middle of moving. I have the pack n play, car seat and clothes washed and ready. Everything else is sitting in their original boxes, waiting until we close on our new house, February 1st. I am due The 27th

Bassinet was a baby shower gift which I set up 2 months ago. Crib was a Christmas gift which I set up Christmas Eve. I'm in my 37 weeks and 4 days. Nursery and essentials are all put together and ready to go minus the glider which should arrive thus week.

Bassinet has been set up for 2 weeks. Baby will be here next week. Since he will be co sleeping/ in his bassinet for a long while we haven’t set up the crib yet

I have my bassinet set up now and my daughter still sleeps in the crib. You should atleast set up the bassinet just Incase you have a C-section and can’t lift anything heavy
