How is everyone getting sweeps?

My OB said no until 39 weeks. How is everyone in this group getting them!?

I’m in uk and we don’t usually have them until we are over the 40w!

Listen, if you ask me, your dr is doing you a favour! Stretches before 39 weeks are unlikely to result in labour unless you’re unusually favourable. But it can lead to a long night or nights of discomfort and the resulting anxiety/disappointment. I don’t particularly see the need to jut get babies out. Gestation is considered 40 weeks for a reason! I totally get it, I’m 39+2, I haven’t had a sweep yet, it’s very very uncomfortable so of course it would be nice if he would come out 😅 but at the end of the day 🤷🏼‍♀️🤗 he’ll be here sooner than later 🥰 when he’s ready, as my husband likes to remind me lol

Had mine today at 39+3. Here’s hoping! Worked within 24 hours with my first and I was just 2cm dilated at the time with her. Today I was 3

I think I will if I am dilated enough for one at my 39 week appointment. But really only because if I don’t go into labor on my own for this baby I have to have a c section and I realllllly don’t want another c section.

I'm 37 weeks. My baby is measuring 95th percent and my last baby was big. They want her out before due date so I'm getting a sweep at 38 weeks

My ob won’t even do a cervical check unless labor is suspected.

I got my second one today but I had my first at 39weeks exactly and today I am 39+5. Praying this one does it so I don’t have to be induced.

My midwives don't do them unless I'm overdue. They also don't do cervical checks either until overdue. They haven't mentioned it once and honestly I'm okay with it because I know so many people who have had both and have had their expectations set only to he disappointed because dilation/sweeps don't always mean labor is near.
