My mother in law wants me to baptize my twins when they are born, but I don’t believe in baptism until they can decide that for themselves.

They can have an opinion and NICELY tell us their opinions. If it’s rude back off haha but at the end of the day it’s not her child so no grandparents get a say. Expressing their opinions in a nice way but no final decision

I was raised Catholic, so I was baptized shortly after birth. My husband and I are Christians (not Catholic) and do not believe in infant birth. One of the only reasons I’m glad my sister is pregnant before me is because she’ll be the first one to cross that bridge with my mom, who will certainly insist we baptize our children right at birth (my sister is also Christian but not Catholic now). Anyway, your mother in law should not have a say! I’m sorry you’re going through this.
