Of course it can fade. Just like the feelings of lust/love can change too. People change, they get older, tastes change etc...

It’s so normal! I feel that our society regards sex as the standard for intimacy but it doesn’t have to be. If you love everything else about your partnership then screw it and keep going. Animal attraction is not everything.
