Announcement to Parents (when)?

So I know the doc typically says to wait to announce pregnancy after the first trimester.  Have any of you already informed your parents?  Do most people wait to tell anyone after 10-12 weeks?  I know that ultimately it’s mine and my husbands choice.  Just looking to see what others have experienced.  Thanks in advance.

This is my first pregnancy and we told my parents and my husband's parents. I'm only about four weeks. The reason we told them was because if anything were to happen we figured we'd need more support than just each other. 
I'm sure everyone is different but that was how we looked at it when deciding whether or not to tell them. I always want my mom when anything bad happens so I wanted her to know either way.

I told my parents because I need their support through this scary early stage. We won't tell anyone else til 2nd trimester.

Something my doctor told me was very helpful. They told me that if I were to lose the baby, who would I want there to support me? Those people are who you tell early. I’m having such a hard time waiting, but those people I have told are my support system if something were to happen. 
But, at the end of the day, it is YOUR choice and you get to decide for yourself ❤️. Net of luck!

We announced it yesterday at midnight. I’m 5+0. 
I had a miscarriage in March, and it was so hard having to tell my parents I was pregnant and now loosing the baby- cause I really needed their support, I needed them to know about the MC because it affected me so much. 
So I’d rather they know it early now, in case anything happens (knock on wood) 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

We told my in laws Christmas Eve with a Christmas onesie, and my mom a couple days later with another onesie. It just all depends on when you’re ready to start telling family. 😊

I’m not even 4 weeks today, I already told my best friend and my sister. We’re going to wait at least a week before telling our parents, but we’re so terrible at keeping secrets!
My mom’s birthday is next week, I’m thinking about telling them then.
So, definitely not waiting until 12 weeks to tell family/close friends 😂 but we won’t announce to the world until after 12 weeks.
