Can you shower after your water breaks?

Assuming you don't have bad contractions and have the time. 
With my first, I didn't have any contractions until about 4 hours after my water broke and my doc let me stay home until they got bad. (I had already showered before my water broke...I'm just curious in case I have the same situation this time)

Yes you can shower after your water breaks! It's a great pain relief method and the hot water can help you relax making contractions more effective. At my hospital the birthing room has a bathroom with a shower in it for this reason :)

With my 1st, my water broke and intense contractions started immediately on top of each other. I still managed to shower and shave lol

My mom sure did! She'd spent a week in the hospital prior to her water breaking and felt so gross the entire time because they wouldn't let her get out if bed. She refused to go back without showering!

Yep, take a shower. My waters broke and I basically spent my entire labour at the hospital in the shower as the hot water on my back was amazing.
