Do you tip when ordering Take-Out?

I shouldn’t have polled. I can’t believe more people don’t tip for take out than do! It’s a service people! Work goes into it whether you think it does are not. I’m horrified. Be considerate and generous. They make $3-4 an hour. Holy hell.

If I’m picking up the food no. If it’s delivered to me yes.

No, I don’t tip for take out. If I sat down and ate and the waitress/waiter actually served me and such yes, of course I do.... why would I tip a server who didn’t serve me? Those tips rarely if ever go to the kitchen workers, they’re the ones who provided me with service... I find it strange to tip someone just for ringing me up and running my card/taking my cash.

I still tip for take out. Just a lower amount because typically it goes right to the cook and not waiters/waitresses, and cooks usually make decent money. 
If its take out for me and my hubby and the bill is 20.00$ I will tip $3. Just a lower amount than I would usually tip.

I do.  Someone is still cooking it, taking the order, and packaging it for me.  Maybe I don’t tip the same as if I were eating there but I do still tip.
