Need advice/help: Childrens Book Publishing

Ok first I know this is an odd posting, and I do apologize for that, but I wanted to post this after I read another posting on here asking what we ladies did for a living. I was shocked to see the wide variety of jobs that we ladies have! Hoping someone out in the Glow universe might have some info for me or have dealt with a similar situation! 🤞

I wrote a children's book back when I was a child, just after my Dad passed (I was 10 years old), and for some reason I have always held onto this book. My husband has read it and says it's great; I think he's a bit biased, lol!

Obviously it will need some tweaking and work on my hand drawn pictures, but I have always had a secret dream to have/get it published. I just don't know how or where to get started. I have done a ton of research on methods of printing in today's world, and a family friend said I should just publish myself through Amazon? I would love to have this be a traditionally published book, but honestly a little confused and overwhelmed with all the info online.
