Our daughters name is Rowen, but only because my husband at the time and I couldn’t agree on what vowel was more “feminine”. 🤣 silly I know.
I think most boys use the “a” spelling. 
In the end it didn’t matter too much. Rowen Evangeline works well either way, I’m sure yours will too. But I’m bias! 😀
