changing off depo?

i’ve been on the depo since june 2018, and i recently just got my latest shot a week before christmas.

my acnes gotten worse , my hairs falling out, i don’t bleed but i have non stop terrible cramps, and when i do bleed it’s so heavy it lands me in the hospital.

i decided it’s probably time to quit.

now questions

1. how hard is it going to be coming off?

2. what’s another birth control that’s effective against getting pregnant? that’s the reason i got on it was because i heard it was effective. but i’m terrible at remembering to take the pills
