Breast Pumps

Question

When I had my first two kids, I used the Medela Pump In Style. It had the best reviews at the time, my kids are now 5 and 3. Im pregnant with my third and I would like recommendations for a breast pump. I honestly did not think the Medela was that great.

I got the Spectra S2 and LOVE it!! With my firstborn, I too used the Medela Pump in Style as it was the highlight of pumps at that time (2006-2007). It did not work for me at all, and I switched to Ameda Purely Yours with similar results. Highly recommend the Spectra S2

I have the Medela Sonata, which I LOVE! 👌🏾 I have heard great things about the Spectra pumps as well, but I've never used those so I cannot speak on them. However, the Sonata is great! Be sure to check with your insurance company as well. I was able to get the Sonata free through my husband's insurance. The Spectra pumps were also some I could have chosen from.

I had a Medela and a Hygeia with my first. I love the Hygeia.

FTM here but I picked the Spectra S2 because it was a closed system and had the best reviews. I was excited to hear other moms say is was really quiet, easy to use, and was efficient at pumping. We'll see how it goes...
