Back pain and sex

I was in a wreck in 2017 that left me with a lower lumbar disc on the verge of requiring surgery. I've been trying to be careful with it ever since since my job involves a lot of lifting and constantly being on my feet on concrete floors.

I just got married a few weeks ago and am now sexually active for the first time.

Unfortunately having to spread my legs and adjust a certain way for missionary hurts my lower back and I can't do it as easily as I'd hoped.

So we tried doggie.

It's been working relatively well but a few mornings ago after being in the position for quite awhile the night before (we're still figuring things out) my back hurt so bad I was struggling to stand straight. I have a really high pain tolerance so I didn't notice much during sex that my back was getting pushed past its limit.

Have any of yall figured out how to alleviate back pain during and after sex or found a position that is easier?
