No heart beat on ultrasound at 9 weeks. Is there hope?

Hi everyone,
Today I went in for my 1st prenatal appointment at 9 weeks. The baby measures at only 6 weeks and there was no heart beat on the ultrasound. Doc said that if my hormone levels don’t rise in two days then it’s a fail. 
Is there hope? 🙏

Probably not. Being three weeks behind isn’t normal, plus no heartbeat. I’m surprised your doctor is still going to be testing your levels, this is what is called a missed/silent miscarriage, I’ve had two, they’re awful. I’m sorry.

I went in at 9 weeks April 19th of 2018. This was my 3rd scan of the baby and still no growth. I prayed and prayed that the baby would have a heartbeat and it never did. It stopped growing at about 6 weeks. I tried everything I could to miscarry on my own and I couldn't. I went in again May 1st they did one last scan and no change. I had to have a D&C. It was the most heartbreaking thing ever... a few months went by and I ended up getting pregnant again in August of 2018. I'm currently 21 weeks with my little one actively kicking me as I type this. I'm so sorry hun. I wish you all the luck and hope you have a sweet litte baby soon.

I went in for an 8 week check and I was only measuring 5 but I went back a week later and found a heart beat. I’m 24 weeks now but the hcg numbers really

Is it possible that your dates are wrong? Do you have irregular cycles? If you do, i think theres still a chance. It can be normal not to see a heartbeat at 6w so if you are in reality only 6w instead of 9w, then its normal. But if you are sure you’re supposed to be 9w then its a mmc ☹️
