Is a head support necessary??

Question

My carseat doesnt have one and ive been told they arent a necessity and others are saying its a must ... 
Do I HAVE to have one ?

I would read your carseat manual. Carseats aren't supposed to have after market products used. You can use to rolled up recieving blankets on each side of baby If you feel he/she needs support.

Anything that does not come with the car seat is not a need. Those actual prevent the baby from rolling their head around keeping their airway open and could cause an air affixation. Happened to my best friend!

I personally will not be getting it, the car seats were tested and approved to be used as they come. Adding things to them might render them less safe in an accident or as another commenter stated prevents your child from rolling their head and could potentially cause them to suffocate

Check out car seats for the littles. As long as your seat is installed at the correct incline the. Babies head is ok. Don’t ever add aftermarket products.

It’s not a must but definitely helpful. Baby will be fine without it.
