Anyone else doing home renovations to make room for baby?

I’m having twins in May and the renovations haven’t even begun. We have to move a wall and replace carpet in 2 rooms, and my husband and his dad are doing it themselves, in order to save money. I’m losing my mind worrying if they will actually finish in time, and I can’t do anything to the nursery until they are done. Cribs and furniture are sitting in boxes in our dining room. 😳

I feel you. I worry mine will never happen also but theres nothing I can do. I got told by my husband and in laws we could renovate to make space for our little one but was told we have to wait till spring cuz it’s too cold to do anything beforehand. Which means it wouldn’t happen till after she arrives. Which makes me think it will never happen. We are supposed to clean out a whole garage bay full for junk and make that into a living room area and make our current living room into a bed room for our little one. It kind sucks but I have no choice but to sit back, wait and see. which sucks even more cuz I’m the type that usually jumps to get things I want done cuz I know waiting around doesn’t get anything done. But being pregnant I’m not supposed to do heavy lifting so I’m stuck doing nothing waiting and hoping it eventually happens. The crib is going to have to be built and sit in the living room eventually which sucks 😕

I dont have renovations, hubby thinks we should wait til 30 weeks to start buying baby stuff and let me tell you I AM FREAKING THE EFF OUT!!! so I can only imagine how you are atm. I'd probably be in prison for murder at this point lol:)

That would make me “stress” too. But let’s look at worse case scenario, it doesn’t get done. It will eventually get done and while its not easy to live in renovations you’ll still have a sweet baby in May.
