For exclusive pumping: which one?

If you have experience with these and were able to compare to a different model, please feel free to comment as well! I know that a lot of people come down to Medela and Spectra when they decide.

I love my Spectra S1. I’ve been using it for 16 months and it just freak accident died a couple days ago and they sent me a new one for free cuz it’s under warranty for 2 years. I’ve been using my Medela Advanced backup for a couple days and it’s making me realize how much I like the Spectra. The rechargeable battery makes it so easy to grab and go, and my pumping sessions with the spectra last 8-10 minutes, with the Medela Symphony (Hospital grade) when I pump at work it takes 10-12, and with the Medela Advanced I have to do two sessions back to back (10 mins on, 10 mins off, 10 mins on) to get the same amount. Highly recommend Spectra S1!

You may consider the one that is rechargeable since you’ll have to pump on the go. Otherwise, I believe they’re basically the same. I have the S9 which is small and portable but I don’t pump exclusively, just occasionally. I do like to be able to take it with me and not lug a 3lb pump around. I used it to pump at an amusement park the other day.

They're the exact same thing but S1 is portable due to the rechargeable battery. I use an adidas soccer bag as a nursing bag and bottle adapters from Maymom off of Amazon so I can use small neck bottles. I like that the pump turns off after 30 minutes since I've fallen asleep in the middle of the night while pumping 😱 The spectra is very gentle, I recommend it to everyone! Just be sure to buy extra duckbills as those are what will need to be replaced often (every other month for me).

I have the Spectra S2 and the Medela Pump in Style. Both super awesome pumps in my opinion. More recently I’ve been favoring the Spectra just because it seems more comfortable and since the S2 can be cordless I have more mobility if I need to and I can pump in places without an outlet. They’re both strong pumps. The Spectra is a closed system so that’s pretty nice though (:
