VERY scared of the Gynecologist!!

I’m not exactly sure which group would be the best to post and ask for some opinions so I apologize if this is the wrong group for my question/rant!

so I am very scared of the gyno and that’s probably just an understatement lol ! I know i should of started going to one years ago when I first became sexually active but just the idea of it would get me so scared.

well lately I’ve been having some issues down there so I’ve scheduled my first appointment😰 anyone know how I can calm myself down a little bit I’m not even there yet I have a few days and I’m already a mess about going ! what’s everything that they do? & please honestly does anything hurt bad? obviously nothing going to feel good but I don’t know I’m just very horrified of going, I over think everything. & very nervous and scared of the idea of a stranger not only looking at me down there but doing exams and all!

what’s everything they do?? please someone ease my mind a little bit I’m already a mess 😦
