Period blood smell?

So every time I’m on my period, the blood tends to smell kind of weird. Idk how to explain it but it has a smell. Is that normal??

Usually it smells metallic and that’s due to the iron in the blood

Metallic smell may be due to the blood. If it smells weird/sour, might need to change your pad more often because it may be the blood smell mixed in with sweat/bacteria smell.
