Absorbency problem

Hello everyone, I'm a FTM trying out cloth diapers with my little boy. (Just turned 1 month) Lately every time the diapers are leaking and making a big mess. I finally noticed that liquids are just sort of beading on the surface of the cloth and not being absorbed. Anyone have any suggestions on what I need to do? I've been using Charley's Soap to clean them
