Who else is struggling with keeping it on the down low?!

Question

I’m struggling so bad to keep this pregnancy a secret until it’s “safe” to announce, after my first ultrasound in a couple weeks to make sure things are okay. I’ve been ttc so long and I just want to scream it from the roof tops!

My husband and I agreed that we would keep it quiet but so far we have told everyone we have hung out with. 🤣

It's slowly killing me 😩😢 I want to tell everyone but my husband and I agreed to wait until our ultrasound at 8 weeks. Less than 4 weeks to go! I've only told a small handful of people (best friends, sister and cousin) and we want to give an ultrasound picture with a big brother shirt to our 8 yr old. I have zero patience though!!

I’ve been ttc for almost a year and had a miscarriage in August so I’m trying to wait. We’ve told my parents, my mother in law and my sister but that’s it. We don’t plan on telling other family or anyone else until 15 weeks just so there is a lower risk of anything happening. It’s really difficult though because I’m so happy and really want everyone to know.

Me!!! But I had to tell everyone at work because I’m a nurse and there’s patients on my unit with diseases I can’t care for so I feel like that helped me get it out of my system Hahahaha

Surprisingly I am content with keeping it secret for now. A lot of people found out earlier than I wanted them to with my first pregnancy, but thankfully she's healthy so it worked out. With my 2nd pregnancy, only 5 or so people knew and unfortunately I miscarried. I am thankful to have that handful of people because they have been supportive of me and checked on me after losing my baby. With this one, only 3 people know so far and I'm totally okay with it. They are all people who know about my previous loss so I know they will be there for me if it happens again. I thought I would be bursting at the seams to tell people, but I'm totally okay keeping it my own little secret for now, at least until we hear a heartbeat.

We aren’t going to “announce” it till we are 8-10 weeks, but we told our son, close family and I told my best friends. We had a missed miscarriage in March and were scared to tell just in case, but the support system we had then is who I thought should know.
