my beautiful baby boy was born November 16th at 26 weeks 2 days due to myself having severe preeclampsia and a back flowing umbilical cord, he weighed 1.4lbs and was 12in long. we’ve had a bumpy road between him and i both being severely sick, he’s had over 8 blood transfusions, has been intubated and extubated multiple times, has two severe inguinal hernias and has a moderate VSD in his heart but god damn he’s the strongest person i’ve ever known. i’m astonished at the amount of progress he’s made in his 48 days of life, he’s now on NIPPV, no Pic-line, on full tube feeds, on air mode in his isolette, AND is 3.10lbs!!!! by no means am i happy my peanut came 14 weeks early but i have found happiness in the ways that i’ve gotten to watch him flourish💜 Leo Alexander, you are gods gift and you make me the proudest mommy in the world
