Damaged box?

Amazon has this carseat and stroller set. It's $293 new or $129 for a damaged box (not used or sold) That's over $100 savings... is it worth it? Surely they couldn't sell it if it was unsafe. Thoughts?

They would sell it if it was unsafe. They don’t care. Just like they sell all the aftermarket products for car seats that are dangerous too. 
The question would be how damaged is it. Cause some box damage is ok - the boxes are strong and are there to absorb any impact. But destroyed or a serious impact and it would be damaged most likely.

Damaged box could be a slightly puncture or tear that causes no damage to the product OR it could be a large puncture/compression of the box that caused damage to the product.

Is it returnable? If so I would totally get it because you could check it out and return it if it appears too damaged.

Small cosmetic imperfection on top, front or sides of item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged.

I work at Amazon and I've seen some of the wearhouse deals first hand. It's a bit of a gamble. Sometimes it's just a damaged box sometimes the product can slightly be damaged. For all you know the box could have been dropped from 40ft. Things get marked down like this because they were damaged at the wearhouse. It gets inspected and if it passes they mark it down and sell it. You never know who inspected it and if they slacked at their job. I wouldn't chance it since there is a carseat involved. If it was just the stroller I'd say go for it.

We had a track travel system with our first and I wouldn’t it buy one again. The quality left a lot to be desired.

Just be aware people throw junk strollers in these things, junk items etc. Downside if you want to risk it is wasted time and waiting for them to return your money and having hassle to return this one. Upside is if it’s in great condition you get a good price! To me- not worth it at all.
