Getting baby to sleep in his own bed

My son is 7 weeks old and will only sleep on my partner or I. Any tips on getting him to sleep in his bassinet? He can be in a deep sleep and as soon as we set him down he starts crying. Or he can be well on his way to being asleep and same thing; as soon as he is out of our arms he’s screaming. Is he too young to let him cry it out?
