I thought having a pregnant friend would be a nice experience, but I’m finding it quite the opposite. She is 5 weeks behind me and she is driving me crazy! My husband of 10 years and I struggled to conceive, while she got pregnant the first month with a new boyfriend. I mentioned when I was 16 weeks I might have felt flutters (my 3rd baby), within 12 hours she is messaging me that she felt flutters too (at 11 weeks with 2nd baby). On my 20 week ultrasound we found out gender and shared with friends. So she went to an elective place the next day to find out gender at 15 weeks. I’m having a boy and she is having a girl. Now I’m being flooded on our group friend chat about how amazing it is to get to have a girl, girls run the world, girls are the best, etc. Ugh. I’m trying to just ignore it but I’m feeling more irritable then normal today.
