How did/will you all announce your pregnancy to SO?

I'd love to read your stories below. I need ideas on how to tell my SO when I get my BFP. I'm feeling very hopeful January will be our month. Definitely will be updating this post

^^^ I have a box of tiny shoes my son never wore. I plan on placing the positive pregnancy test inside this box with the shoes and wrapping it up as a late Christmas/early birthday present for him

So we were TTC for 2 years. I took a pregnancy test in the bathroom on FaceTime with my best friend and when I saw it was positive I ran into the bedroom crying saying “holy shit”. He looked at the test and burst into tears. Later that day, I planned a cute way to tell him because I felt bad that he missed out on the cute moment

We both agreed that we’ll be turning his office into the nursery so when I get my BFP, I’m going to post a cute ‘Eviction Notice-must be out by Due Date’ on the office door and wait for him to see it.

I went out and got the onesie and card. I already had the little book. Had the box and filler as well. Had it waiting in the counter when he got home from work, he went to open it and I yelled STOP! I want this on video. He refused until I promised I wouldn’t share the video. Then he opened it and looked around for a few seconds, he didn’t understand right away. Then he got the most surprised look on his face, he absolutely lit up. Then as I’m starting to cry nodding my head saying yes we’re pregnant, he starts crying. I ended the video, and we hugged and cried for so long. Then he asked if I was sure since we did IVF and i didn’t have a blood test yet. And then said the blood test better be positive since you made me cry. It was adorable. Ill be 16 weeks on Saturday.

My husband had just left the house to go shooting with some of his buddies when I took my test. I immediately called him and blurted out that I was pregnant lol. I couldn’t keep it a secret nor would he want me to.

I walked out of the bathroom and woke him up. He wanted to go back to sleep and I told him he couldn't so he asked why and I handed him the pregnancy test. I wouldn't have wanted to wait longer than that to tell him.
