I was on the depo before never gained weight and now currently on the Nexplanon since October of 2017 and haven't gained a pound. I think it's just how they effect your own hormones and body. Everyone is different.

It really just depends on your body... that’s why there’s so many options. Depo didn’t make me gain any weight but anything with estrogen does. And the nexplanon made me depressed as hell.

The only birth control I've gained weight on is the depo shot. I gained 60 pounds in 6 months. I've been on 2 iuds, 3 different pills.
