I have a serious question?????

So my dr has set up my 4th scheduled c-section for March 11  and I keep hearing from family and friends that if I'm measuring ahead (because I have gestational diabetes) my dr might go ahead and take her early?    How true is it?  Has any of you other moms had that happen ?

I just had this conversation with my doctor. I learned that every practice is different. At my drs office, they will not induce or c-section before 39 weeks under any circumstances (excluding a life threatening issue like pre-e, which becomes an emergency). If the issue is GD or baby’s size, mom is over being pregnant, doctor is going on vacation- anything! They will not before 39 weeks. Check with your dr and see what their policies are. It sounds like (from what I learned) unless you have an emergency, there shouldn’t be any reason to get baby early. I think you’ll be ok Mama!

If you have Gd you will probably be induced. Most doctors won’t let you go last 39 weeks. Especially if you’re measuring ahead.   But again it’s really based on your doctor. I’d just ask
I have Gd for the second time and baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead right now  doc said no way will she let me go past 39 weeks especially being on insulin since week 17

I have GD and my dr has scheduled my c section for 38 weeks. I have an ultrasound scheduled in 3 weeks to determine if he is going to take her earlier. I had an emergency c section with my son due to pre eclampsia

They will only take the baby if your sugar is to high or if they see something wrong with the fluids

No, they won’t take her earlier. They schedule the c section for before labor will happen, and the longer baby is in the better.
