We were scammed... After 40 weeks, we had finally finished making all of our payments and she bowed out of giving us our home/water birth, saying that she didn’t feel comfortable with the way the baby’s heart sounded... We went to the ER to have baby checked... Dr said that nothing was wrong and that her heart was perfect. I had to find an OB at almost 41 weeks to deliver our baby at a local hospital. The new OB checked baby and literally used the word PERFECT to describe her health. Said she scored an 8 out of 8.... I’m now 41+2 and facing a pitocin induction when midwife promised natural induction with monitoring. Very disappointed. This is not at all what I wanted... I’m so nervous and tense about being induced. I know all of the science behind it and why its better to let baby come on her own but... This is what I’ve been given. I have to make the best of it. I’m excited that I finally get to meet my baby girl though and know that nothing else will matter once she’s here.
