Expecting more from sex

Me and my boyfriend are pretty inexperienced with sex but we have it quite a lot. I don't know if it's that he doesn't know how to use what he's got or if I was just expecting more out if what sex actually feels like. Any suggestions on how to make the experience feel better? Maybe different positions?
