I am 27 weeks pregnant with baby no2. I lost my mucus plug this morning. With baby no1 I didn’t lose the plug until I was 36 weeks and ended up being induced due to complications the next day. Just wondering if it’s normal to lose it this early?

Thank you for all your advice. OBGYN said it’s very unusual to lose it this early and the theory that it refreshes itself isn’t strictly true but he will explain and show me when he see me. Any pain or blood stained discharge straight to hospital. He’s going to check my cervix next week, he said to do it now so soon after losing the MP could start things off. Let everything settle down then check is the best idea unless things start changing now.
