Did it take anyone else an insanely long time for their HCG to hit 0 after a miscarriage?

My husband and I struggled for 2 years trying to conceive (over a year naturally, then with IUIs and letrozole/clomid) before finally trying <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a>. My first <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">IVF</a> cycle resulted in a positive pregnancy test, but at about week 5 I started experiencing bleeding. At week 7 they confirmed there was no heartbeat and I miscarried the following day. It’s been 16 weeks and I still have trace amounts of HCG in my blood. My latest blood draw showed 9.7 (two weeks prior it was 16.4). It took my body 14 weeks to get a period and I’ve been really anxious to start another transfer cycle... did it take anyone else this long? Are there any ways to speed this up? The doctors tell me patience, but that wore out at about week 8 🙄

Also out of curiosity does anyone know if it’s possible to get pregnant if you have trace amounts of the HCG hormone left?
