dark yellow snot & not sleeping well? sick 9 month old

My baby is almost 9 months old and has had bad congestion for a week now. We saw a doctor awhile ago but they said it was probably just a cold. Now her behavior has changed though as shes getting up throughout the night and is super squirmy in her sleep. I plan on taking her to the doctors again tomorrow, but would like to hear some advice.

Any fever?
The squirming could be from being uncomfortable due to fever or you could be getting the start of an ear infection (which often times impacts sleep).
The snot volume is more alarming to me than the color.  In our house, nose drainage like that often preceded ear infections (ears, nose and throats are a system).
I would try giving the kid a dose of pain relievers before bed to see if it helps.  If the kid starts crying inconsolably, refuses to be put down, sleeps even worse - it might be an ear infection.

Could be teeth or a viral infection (just a cold has to run its course)

Teething maybe? My 8 month old has been doing the same and his top 2 teeth are poking through and he’s less irritated now. He had the same yellow snot as well. My dr said watch for teeth so I did. His bottoms came through first now his tops are and since the tops he’s been sleeping through the night again
