How early on gender?

How early can you tell the gender on an ultrasound accurately? I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and we have an appointment today. It's our first one in the second trimester. So third appointment. I don't know if they'll do an ultrasound, but if so is it very accurate or should we wait til 20 weeks? Thank you!!

I had an ultrasound at 16 weeks and the ultrasound tech said that you can but just get it confirmed at 20 weeks. She said it looks like a girl and at my 20 week scan they confirmed girl :)

They probably won’t do an ultrasound usually it’s just 8 w (maybe 12/13 weeks) and 20 weeks but you can ask! If they did one they “should” be able to see
