Interracial relationships

Okay so, I’m black and my fiancé is Hispanic(Nicaraguan) . His mom tries to speak English to me- though I do understand her, I want to learn more Spanish. Does anyone have any tips on how to pick it up faster? I’m so prominent on learning more Spanish, because when we have kids I want them to be bilingual- also I think Spanish is a pretty language. I already know some French- so I hope that’ll make it easier on me. (They say when you learn another language it’s easier to learn even more)

Edit: I love his mom and she loves me. His family is very accepting, she came here from Nicaragua when she was 20, and became a US citizen. My fiancé was born here in the US (California) - we live in Atlanta, GA though.
